A group of 20 producers of leather components, shoes and artefacts are travelling to five countries in Africa. One of the activities of the mission was participation in Inter Leather, a leather sector fair, which took place in Cairo. Several of the companies closed deals. Uniflex, a producer of shoe soles, received orders for US$ 18,000, and Polako, specialized in moulds for sole injection, sold US$ 10,000.
The agreement for cooperation signed by the Brazilian and Algerian oil companies in 2003 will start being put into practice in the near future. This was one of the decisions taken during a meeting between the minister of mines and energy of Brazil, Silas Rondeau, and his Algerian colleague, Chakib Khelil, yesterday, in Algiers. Rondeau is participating in a Brazilian trade mission to the Arab country, which includes around 50 companies and organizations.
This statement was made by the Brazilian minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, Luiz Fernando Furlan, yesterday, during a seminar that brought together Brazilian and Algerian businessmen in Algiers. The 25th National Foreign Trade Meeting (Enaex) is scheduled to begin on Wednesday. Around 3,000 participants are expected, as well as Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, ministers and representatives of state governments.
