The decision was announced on Thursday (21). As informed by ANBA in August, the company wants to increase production by over 50%. Today the company produces 14 million tonnes of iron pellets per year. The pellets are used in the production of steel. The Arab countries are among the main clients and the company has its eye on the expansion of ironworks in the region.

The Brazilian factory, which has exclusive distributors in all the Arab countries, exported 5,500 tonnes of chocolates to the Middle East and North Africa between January and August this year. Sales to the region have risen 142% since 2003.

Two stores of the traditional Brazilian garment producers were inaugurated in Riyadh, the capital of the Arab country, in July. Another two should be opened up to the end of the year, in Dammam and, in future, another in Jeddah. The franchisee is Naharat, of which businessman Abdulhameed Al-Abdulkareen is a partner.
