São Paulo – Feicon Batimat, the construction sector’s fair that will be held in March of next year in the state capital, expects to welcome Brazilian and foreigners buyers in its next edition. Last year, the fair was visited by people from 30 countries, including from the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, and generated US$ 450 million in business.
Feicon Batimat welcomed in its last edition 130 thousand visitors. Importers came from Germany, Angola, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Chile, China, Singapore, Colombia, South Korea, Slovenia, Spain, US, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mozambique, Poland, Portugal, England, Russia, Taiwan and Turkey, besides buyers from Brazil and the two Arab countries mentioned above.
There was international presence also among the exhibitors, which reached 1,050, among domestic and foreigner brands. The expectation of the organizers, according to information published in the fair’s website, is that in 2015 it will host the exhibition of 2 thousand brands. 120 thousand visitors are expected at Anhembi Exhibition Pavillion, in an 85 thousand square meters area.
The fair usually presents new releases and technologies for the construction sector in Latin America. Parallel to the fair, there is a conference with seminars headed by organizations and large companies of the sector, with technical and economic debates. Among the themes of the next edition are the rational use of water and renewable energy in construction, waste management, technology and architecture.
As it happened in the last edition, technical visits will be taken to innovative real estate developments for their architectural and construction characteristics, technology used, among other differentials. In 2014, the visit was to Palmeiras’ stadium Allianz Parque, which was under construction, and Jardim das Perdizes, a planned neighborhood in the western part of the state capital, which was also under construction.
