São Paulo – The construction industry trade fair Big 5 will have its first edition in Egypt this year, on September 20 to 22. The exhibition is well-established in the United Arab Emirates as the sector’s largest event in the Middle East and also has branched out to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, India, Indonesia and Kenya. Registrations for Egypt’s edition are open.
The event offers opportunities to manufacturers of a series of products, such as sanitary ware, concrete, tools, electrical systems, interior design items, marble and ceramics, pipes, safety materials, glass, fire protection, windows, doors, swimming pools and other materials.
In addition to the exhibition area, Big 5 Egypt will also offer services such as business matchmaking with local distributors; a workshop on the Egyptian market, including guidance on the country’s laws and the steps required to establish a business in the country; and live demonstrations on the use on innovative products.
According to the fair’s organizers, Egypt’s construction industry projects yet to take place are worth USD 140 billion. Among these projects are low-income housing (USD 40 billion) and Cairo’s subway (USD 3.5 billion).
