São Paulo – The 2014 Annual Investment Meeting opens this Tuesday (8th) in Dubai. The event is themed Investment Partnerships for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth in Frontier and Emerging Markets and will continue until next Thursday (10th).
The conference will discuss the role of foreign direct investment in the Arab world and in emerging countries. The schedule includes panels, ministerial roundtables, presentations of different countries, and business meetings.
Panellists include Sultan Al Mansouri, the United Arab Emirates minister of Economy, Mustafa Osman Ismail, the Sudanese minister of Investment, Arancha González, the executive director of the International Trade Centre (Intracen, an organization maintained by the WTO and the UN), Zahra Maafiri, director-general of Morocco Export, Carlos Alberto Aguilar, the Investment director for Pro Ecuador, among others.
The event will be attended by delegates from countries such as Mexico, Poland, Portugal, China, Indonesia, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, Angola, Kenya, France, Cyprus, and United States. The organizers are expecting 10,000 investors from 120 countries.
