São Paulo – The Economic Activity Index by consulting firm Serasa Experian declined 0.7% in this year’s third quarter over the previous three months as per seasonally adjusted numbers. There’s a decline of 2.9% in comparison to the same period of 2016 while year-to-date the indicator is down 4%.
Economists from Serasa Experian said that the negative result in Q3, a sharper decline than the 0.6% seen in this year’s Q2, frustrated the expectations of a more solid recovery of the economy throughout the second half of 2016.
