São Paulo – By the end of 2012, Embraer had a firm order backlog worth US$ 12.5 billion. The orders include 185 commercial aircraft and defence sector contracts. The information was released by the company this Monday (14th).
Last year, the company delivered 106 commercial aircraft and 99 business jets. The model with the highest number of deliveries was the Embraer 190, at 62 units. The company did not disclose how many defence-oriented models it delivered.
The only delivery to an Arab country was in the defence sector. In October, Embraer announced that it had delivered units of the military A-29 Super Tucano to the Mauritanian Air Force.
Pending deliveries to Arab clients include E190 to Saudi Arabia’s NAS Air, plus business jet orders.
