São Paulo – The Brazilian aircraft manufacturing company Embraer has sold an aircraft to Jordan’s Arab Wings at the Dubai Air Show, in the United Arab Emirates. According to information released by Embraer, the unit is a Lineage 1000, due for delivery in the first half next year. The value of the deal has not been disclosed, but the aircraft’s list price is US$ 55 million.
According to a communiqué issued by Embraer last Tuesday (19th), the aircraft will be leased to third-party clients for chartered flights. Arab Wings operates chartered executive jets and its fleet comprises two other Embraer units: one Legacy 600 and one Legacy 650.
The Lineage 1000 is Embraer’s largest executive jet. It can carry up to 19 passengers and may be configured with a shower and a bed. The aircraft’s range is 8,149 kilometres and it can fly direct between Dubai and London.
