São Paulo – The Emirates Group, which controls the Dubai-based Emirates Airline, has reported US$ 12.9 billion revenue in the first six months of its fiscal year, up 12% from the comparable year-ago period.
In a statement released this Wednesday (12th), the company said it achieved “steady performance and growth, despite a challenging business environment marked by ongoing health pandemic concerns, regional conflicts, and weakening global markets.”
Emirates Group’s fiscal year began on April 1st, 2014 and will end on March 31st, 2015. The first six months end in October. During this period, the group’s net profit was up 1% from the comparable year-ago period, to US$ 607 million.
Standalone revenues for Emirates Airline stood at US$ 12 billion, up 11% from the first half of the last fiscal year, as a consequence of increased passenger and freight demand. Net profit was up 8% to US$ 514 million.
