São Paulo – Etihad Airways, the United Arab Emirates-based airline, and Brazil’s Gol have implemented a measure allowing for passengers to book one single combined ticket for flights by the two companies, according to information released by Etihad’s press office. The booking or purchase can be made from Etihad’s agencies and call centers, or from any travel agency.
“Brazil is a growing market for Etihad, and as such it holds many opportunities. This collaboration with Gol will enable us to offer our customers even more connections and flexible travel options to destinations like Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and Brasília,” said the Strategy and Planning executive for the Emirati airline, Kevin Knight, regarding the interline e-tickets.
Etihad Airways started flying to São Paulo in June this year, and offers 3,360 seats per week between Abu Dhabi and São Paulo. Worldwide, Etihad carried 10.3 million passengers in 2012.
