São Paulo – The Brazilian Footwear Industry Association (Abicalçados) reported this Thursday (5) that it has renewed its agreement with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) to extend the project Brazilian Footwear to the 2017-2018 two-year period. According to a statement released by the association, BRL 36.46 million will be invested in the trade promotion program.
Among the program’s promotion actions are the participation of Brazilian companies in fairs and other events abroad, and the coming of importers for the sector’s exhibitions in Brazil. According to Abicalçados, the companies participating in the project account for near 82% of Brazilian exports in the sector. There are 160 companies taking part in it. The goal is to reach 172 until 2018.
