São Paulo – The Manaus Industry Hub will see USD 70.3 million in investment over the next three years with the approval of industrial projects made public this Friday (26) by Conselho de Administração da Superintendência da Zona Franca de Manaus (Suframa), which manages the hub and free zone in the capital of Brazil’s Amazonas state. The investments will include expansion of existing facilities and are expected to create new jobs.
According to information released on the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade website, last June, admission numbers increased at the Manaus Industry Hub, breaking a 19-month downward run. In June there were 82,721 workers there, including regular, temporary and third-party workers. It was the second best number of the year and up 0.38% from 82,408 jobs in May.
