São Paulo – The Spanish steel company Bamesa has inaugurated a steel plant in the Tangier Free Zone, in North Morocco. The announcement was made this Monday (28th) by the Tangier Free Zone. The unit is located in a 36,000 square-metre plot and is the outcome of a partnership between Bamesa and Arcellor Mittal.
The facility saw US$ 21 million in investment. During the first phase, 100,000 tonnes of steel will be processed per annum. The new plant will carry out stamping for the automaker Renault, and steel coil cutting and storage.
