São Paulo – Morocco posted a 50.24 billion dirham trade deficit (equivalent to US$ 5.14 billion) from January to April this year, down 27.5% from the comparable period in 2014, Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP) has reported.
The deficit stemmed from exports worth 71.81 billion dirhams (US$ 7.34 billion) and imports worth 122.05 billion dirhams (US$ 12.48 billion). Exports were up 6% and imports dropped by 11%.
