São Paulo – Foreign sales of motorcycles from Brazil soared 53.4% in January 2016 from January 2015 to 3,336 units, the Brazilian Association of Motorcycle, Moped and Bicycle Manufacturers (Abraciclo) reported this Tuesday (16). In January 2016 from December 2015, exports dropped 43.9%.
Brazilian industry produced 75,900 motorcycles in January of this year, down 37.8% from 122,000 in January 2015. In January from December – which included a holiday closure –, output grew 50%. Wholesale motorcycle sales reached 58,800 in January, down 43.6% from January 2015 and 15.1% from December.
