São Paulo – The Brazilian government confirmed for Q3 the 13th round of biddings for the exploration of oil and gas fields. The announcement was made by the minister of Mines and Energy, Eduardo Braga, in Houston, United States, this Monday (4th).
According to the government’s press release, 269 blocks outside of the pre-salt fields will be up for bidding, therefore, they can be taken by any interested company willing to fulfill the requirements of the process, without the need for an association with Petrobras.
“I would like to invite everyone to take part in the 13th round. It will be an opportunity for the companies to increase their participation or to enter the Brazilian market. We will offer mature areas and also new frontier areas with great potential”, declared Braga, according to the press release.
