São Paulo – Petrobras oil and gas production was 2.368 million barrels of oil equivalent a day, according to information disclosed by the organisation on Thursday (28). Including operation with partners and abroad, the average was 2.611 million barrels, with a drop of 2.7% over the same month.
Production of oil in Brazil in January totalled 1.965 million barrels of oil, a reduction of 3.3% over December. When adding the operation with partners, the volume is 2.010 million barrels. The reduction was due to some platforms ending their operation before others start and programmed stops for maintenance, among others.
Production abroad was 243,436 barrels of oil equivalent a day (oil and gas), with growth of 0.4% over the previous month. Of this total, 149,287 barrels a day were oil, with growth of 2.8% in comparison with the month before, due to the return to production of Akpo field, in Nigeria, after a stop for maintenance.
