São Paulo – Petrobras reported on Tuesday (18th) night that it produced 2.796 million barrels of oil and gas per day in July, an increase of 1.8% over June and of 3.6% over July 2014.
In Brazil, the company extracted 2.611 million barrels daily of oil and gas, an increase of 2.3% compared to June. Oil production stood at 2.142 million barrels per day on average, an increase of 2.6% over the previous month. In turn, the production of natural gas stood at 74.524 million cubic meters daily, an increase pf 0.9% in the same comparison.
Abroad, the company produced 184.6 million barrels of oil and gas per day, a decline of 4.2% over June. Per day, it stood at 95.9 million barrels of oil, a decline of 5.9% over the previous month; and 15.1 million of cubic meters of gas per day, 2% less than the amount registered in June.
The Brazilian state-owned company also reported that on June 8th it reached a record level of production in the pre-salt layer in Brazil with 865,000 barrels of oil. In the month, the daily average stood at 798,000 barrels, an increase of 6.9% over June.
