São Paulo – Qatar is hosting the first edition of the Doha Beauty Show from October 20 to 22 in the eponymous national capital. Exhibitors at the event will be offering cosmetics and fragrances, spa and aesthetics services, natural products, and hair care and nail items.
According to the organizers, the Middle East and Africa are the world’s second-fastest growing market for the beauty industry. In the Gulf countries alone, the average per capita spending on beauty products is USD 334 a year.
In Qatar there are close to 1,000 points of sale for beauty products, according to the event’s website. The health and wellbeing industry there is dominated by cosmetics and fragrances, followed by spa and hair salon services.
The event will include meetings between exhibitors and local buyers. The organizers will coordinate the meetings on the basis of exhibitor profile and target audience.
Exhibition space prices at the expo range from USD 275 to USD 360 per sqm. The Doha Beauty Show organizers also offer assistance with obtaining visas, inbound cargo, and scheduling of business meetings.
