Casablanca – At the end of 2013, the Renault Group’s market share in the Morocco car sector reached 39%, an increase by 2.4 points in relation to 2012, according to a communiqué issued by the company.
The group sold last year 47,039 vehicles of the brands Renault and Dacia, of which 4,079 in December alone.
In the last month of 2013, the brand Dacia was leading the market with 25.5% market share and 2,875 units sold. In the year as a whole, Dacia sold 30,388 vehicles, which represents 25.2% market share, and an increase by 4.4 points in relation to 2012.
Car models Logan, Sandero and Dokker occupied, respectively, the first, second and third positions in sales in Morocco. The first two cars are sold in Brazil under the Renault brand. The latter is a minivan which is not available in the Brazilian market.
The Renault brand, in turn, sold 16,651 units throughout 2013, with a market share of 13.8%. in December alone, 1,204 cars were sold, representing 10.7% of the total car sales in the country during that month.
