São Paulo – The Rio Grande port throughput increased 2.9% in the first seven months of the year, according to data released this Wednesday (12th) by the superintendence of the venture. In the period, 21.7 million tons passed through the port. In this total, soybean products have a significant share with eight million tons.
In July only, throughput was of 3.9 million tons. In the period, soybean also recorded a significant share with 1.4 million tons. The port, however, is working to attract, with success, the participation of other products. It’s located in the city of same name, Rio Grande, in the south of Rio Grande do Sul state.
