São Paulo – Auto imports went up 0.4% in November over October, according to data made public by the Brazilian Association of Motor Vehicles Importers and Manufacturers (ABEIFA) concerning its members. Last month, 2,650 imported units were sold in the Brazilian market. In comparison to the same month of 2015 there was a decline of 33.4%.
Year-to-date, 32,500 imported units were sold in the Brazilian market, down 40.9% over January to November of 2015. ABEIFA’s president, José Luiz Gandino, believes that the sector will end the year with 35,500 units sold. If the forecast holds, there will be a decline of 40.8% over last year.
