São Paulo – Exports from the state of São Paulo amounted to US$ 3.1 billion in January, or 23.1% of the national total, as per data released this Friday (13th) by the Agricultural Economics Institute (IEA, in the Portuguese acronym) of the Secretariat for Agriculture and Supply of the State of São Paulo. Export revenues were down 18.1% from January 2014.
Agribusiness exports from the state declined year-on-year in January, albeit by a lower rate, by 13.2% to US$ 1.3 billion. The state of São Paulo accounted for 23.2% of total agribusiness exports from Brazil.
