São Paulo – Dubai shall have, in 2017, a hospital with 300 beds and 40,000 inpatients per year. The medical center shall be built by the Soliman Fakeeh Hospital (DSH), based in Jeddah, in Saudi Arabia, and will count on a medical school, to be inaugurated in 2019. According to the information released this Thursday (09) by the Qatar News Agency, the new hospital will cost US$ 272.2 million and generate 4,000 jobs.
The Emirates unit shall be located in the Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) technological park, free trade zone in Dubai. The medical center shall have specialized centers for women’s and children’s health, cardiac and spine surgery, plastic surgery and obesity treatment.
The agreement for the construction of the hospital and medical school was signed at the DSO headquarters by the institutions CEO, Mohammed Al-Zarooni, and the hospital president Mazen Fakeeh. The medical center is to be built in two phases and is expected to serve, in average, 700,000 people per year when ready.
