São Paulo – Syria’s Ministry of Electricity has launched two tenders for purchase of electric materials and equipment. The calls for offers are open to local and foreign companies. Enterprises looking to bid must apply by May 25th.
The first tender concerns the purchase of 750 numerical three-phase time lag overcurrent relays with earth fault and test socket; 250 numerical one-phase time lag overcurrent relays with test socket and 250 numerical (over/under) voltage and frequency protection relays. The products are used for protecting electrical systems.
In addition to the materials listed above, the Syrian government is also purchasing calibrating equipment for erecting and putting into service the aforementioned systems, in accordance with said government’s Inspections and Tests.
Bidders are required to provide a EUR 47,500 bid bond. The winning company will also be required to provide a performance bond worth 10% of the contract’s total value.
The second tender concerns the purchase of 30 portable testing equipment units with all necessary accessories for meters, and 70 portable testing equipment units with all necessary accessories for direct connected meters.
Bidders must pay a EUR 3,000 bid bond for the first 30 units and EUR 4,000 for the other 70 units. The winner will also be required to provide a performance bond worth 10% of total contract value.
Bids can be placed for one or more of the items in each call for offers, and not necessarily for all of the products.
