São Paulo – "Syrian Poetry, in their Homeland and through Immigration" will be the theme of the literary meeting to be held on August 28th, Thursday, at 8pm, at the Syrian Arab Culture Centre, in the city of São Paulo. The event will be conducted by the doctor Fuad Achcar and will also feature poetess Sandra Fayad.
Sandra Fayad is the author of the books "Animals which plant people," "Syntype Poems" (loosely translated), as well as others. She is also a member of the Brazilian National Association of Writers and the Catalan Academy of Languages.
The Syrian Arab Cultural Centre regularly promotes cultural and educational activities, including Arabic language courses. The meeting about Syrian poetry will be held in the organization’s auditorium, on Rua dos Ingleses, 149, in the district of Bela Vista, São Paulo. Admission is free of charge.
