The Federal Senate plenary ratified a text providing for mutual legal assistance in criminal matters, covering investigations and proceedings related to criminal issues.
Established in the Brazilian Congress with the support of the Lebanese Embassy, the Parliamentary Front and Group aim to promote exchanges between the two countries and send resources and aid.

The project to create the group had already been approved by the Senate in July. The initiative aims to foster international cooperation between parliamentarians from both countries.
