São Paulo – VIP Buyer Project, held during the Zero Grau fair, is expected to generate up to USD 1 million to Brazilian companies of the footwear sector. The footwear industry show took place between November 21 and 23 in the city of Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul.
The initiative, organized jointly by the Brazilian Footwear Industry Association (Abicalçados) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) as part of exports promotion project Brazilian Footwear, chose KM Trading, company from the United Arab Emirates, as its guest.
In addition to attending the fair, KM Trading’s representatives visited plants and the offices of the sector’s associations. During the period in Brazil, they closed orders worth USD 500,000, with the prospect of doubling this amount in the next few months.
The Arab company has 30 stores in the United Arab Emirates and four in Oman. Last year, the company imported 800,000 pairs, from which 25% came from Brazil, according to data made available by Abicalçados.
