Launched at the São Paulo International Book Fair, “Jamil’s long journey fleeing the war” uses a typical Brazilian literary expression to tell young readers about the challenges faced by a Syrian man in search of a home.

Portuguese filmmaker Carlos Gomes chose Brazil for the premiere of his film “The Poet King,” which explores the dilemmas of an 11th-century Arab dynasty leader around poetry and war. The movie is part of the Arab World Film Festival. The director discussed his cinematographic production with ANBA.

Artworks by Lebanese young artists about the Tripoli Fair, a project designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, will be on view at the Guimarães Rosa Institute in Lebanese capital Beirut starting Thursday (11).
