The cities of São João Batista, Nova Trento, Canelinha, Tijucas and Major Gercino together have 150 shoe factories. The hub started being established over 40 years ago, but around three years ago they decided to join forces to work together. One of the results is the entry of their products in the market of the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.
