São Paulo – Tunisia wishes to develop a cooperation relationship with Brazil in the environment area. The head of office of the Ministry of the Environment and Durable Development of Tunisia, Habib Dimassi, delivered to the Brazilian minister of environment, Marina Silva, a study on the fields in which they are interested in working in a joint manner with Brazil.
The two met during the 8th Conference of the Parties on the Convention on Biological Diversity, which started on the 20th and ends tomorrow (31) in Curitiba, capital of the southern Brazilian state of Paraná.
According to the head of office, who was today (30) at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, in São Paulo, the Tunisians wish to exchange experiences with Brazil in the areas of pollution control, ecological tourism and national parks. According to Dimassi, the theme was approached during conversations with the Brazilian ambassador in Tunis, Sérgio Telles, in the beginning of the month.
At the Arab Chamber, the head of office of the Ministry of the Environment of Tunisia was received by the Marketing vice-president at the entity, Rubens Hannun, who is also the Tunisian honorary consul in São Paulo, by the president, Antonio Sarkis Jr., and by the secretary-general, Michel Alaby.
