Global trade between Brazil and the Arab world reached almost US$ 1.5 billion during the month, result of exports of US$ 615.7 million, 55% more than in the same month in 2004, and imports of US$ 881 million, an increase in 139% over August last year. For the president of the Arab Brazilian Chamber, Antonio Sarkis Jr., it is already possible to foresee an increase in at least 25% in exports during the year.
