The Brazilian company closed a contract with Dubai Ports International, from the United Arab Emirates, and has already started works for construction of a new bulk oil and liquid terminal in the port of Djibouti. The enterprise should be completed by the end of next year.

The number of new jobs created this year, from January to September, is the highest since records began in 1992. The objective of the multinational company is to reach at least 15% of this sector in the country, which had a turnover of around US$ 700 million in 2003 (in current figures), in two years. High Protection Company (HPC) has four car armouring factories around the world, two of them in Brazil. The company has offices in the United States, but it belongs to a Brazilian. Agência Brasil Rio – Petrobras has announced that it will soon place two new oil rigs into operation, increasing production by 15%. The first rig, the P-34, is already on its way to the Campos Basin oil field where it will be installed 182 kilometers off the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro.
The company from the southernmost Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul made this decision after the 6th Ambassador Meeting, between Arab ambassadors, which took place in state capital Porto Alegre.
