Casablanca – When it comes to tourism, Morocco offers a wide range of options. From north to south, countless cities can be listed as destinations for travelers. As a result, the country also boasts an extensive array of tourism-related services. After publishing five articles highlighting iconic attractions and services in Morocco—the Blue City of Chefchaouen, the Hassan II Mosque, the Strait of Gibraltar, the Akchour hiking trails, Dar Ba Sidi & Spa, and Royal Air Maroc flights—ANBA concludes the series with a few recommendations for hotels, restaurants, and a travel agency that may also be worth including in your trip.
Dar El Kaid Restaurant, in Casablanca

Want to visit a traditional Moroccan restaurant in the medina of Casablanca? The lively Dar El Kaid is just the place. Its menu is a potpourri of Moroccan flavors. Beef couscous with vegetables? They have it. Prefer chicken or lamb instead of beef? Those options are available too, along with tajines, baked fish, Moroccan soup, assorted salads, sweet-and-savory Moroccan pie, and much more. For dessert, try the Jawhara (pictured), an orange blossom honey ice cream. More than just a place to eat, the restaurant offers a lively atmosphere, with Moroccan musicians playing, singing, and dancing in the local traditional style.
Barceló Hotel, in Casablanca

The Barceló is a modern, well-located hotel option in Casablanca. Situated on Boulevard d’Anfa, it is not far from the historic center and the Hassan II Mosque, which can even be seen from some of the hotel’s rooms (pictured). The property is rated four stars. Offering Moroccan cuisine, meeting and event facilities, and a bar that serves as a gathering spot, the hotel provides a full range of services in an elegant setting, complemented by courteous hospitality, including tea served to guests upon arrival.
Casa Sevilla Restaurant, in Tangier

Casa Sevilla Restaurant is located inside the Marina Bay Hotel on Mohammed VI Avenue in Tangier. The setting is clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated. It is a great choice for sampling Spanish cuisine in this Arab country. Seafood is prominently on the menu, and the restaurant is particularly renowned for its tapas and paellas. Guests can choose from dishes such as fish with vegetables, seafood paella, shrimp salad, tortilla, and more. To top it off, Casa Sevilla sits along the city’s waterfront, making it easy to round out the meal with a stroll and a chance to enjoy the view.
Alizés Tourism Group

Alizés promotes tourism in Morocco through partnerships with tour operators, travel agencies, event organizers, cruise lines, and tourism professionals around the world, and Brazilian travelers are playing an increasingly important role in its strategy. Alizés is a DMC (Destination Management Company), the term used for firms specializing in planning and executing the logistics of tourism activities for partner organizations. The group also operates in the corporate travel segment, developing projects for meetings, incentive trips, conferences, and international events in Morocco. In addition, it has a luxury tourism division that offers exclusive experiences, privileged access to destinations, and personalized services for high-end travelers. According to Alizés Commercial and Contracting Director Tarik Mehdi (pictured), Brazil represents a strategic opportunity for the growth of Moroccan tourism.
Royal Hideaway Hotel, in Casablanca

The Royal Hideaway Hotel, part of the Barceló Group, positions itself as an icon of contemporary luxury in Casablanca. Indeed, everything about the property exudes sophistication and refined taste, from the soaring ceilings in the lobby to the upholstered furnishings in soft pastel and neutral tones accented by subtle touches of color. One of the hotel’s standout features is its variety of restaurants (pictured), many of which can also accommodate private events and gatherings. Within these dining spaces, details such as copper-chain curtains and a bookshelf that doubles as a hidden door add to the ambiance. The beautiful swimming pool, along with the wellness and relaxation areas, is equally inviting.
La Sqala – Café Maure, em Casablanca

La Sqala – Café Maure is a restaurant and café located behind the walls of Casablanca’s medina, housed in a former 17th-century fortress. Serving traditional Moroccan cuisine, it is an excellent spot for coffee or tea before setting off on a tour of the historic center, or for a meal at the end of the visit. The venue offers both indoor and outdoor seating areas, all surrounded by lush greenery that evokes the atmosphere of a riad, the traditional Arab house built around an interior garden.
