Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva stated yesterday that fuel H-Bio was not only developed for Brazil. He hopes to see partnerships with foreign companies. The product is a diesel made from petroleum and vegetable oil. To the Brazilian Chief of Staff, Dilma Roussef, Petrobras may receive royalties for the transfer of technology.
The H-Bio, developed by Petrobras, uses a mixture of vegetable oil and petroleum in the refinement. Production in industrial scale will start in the end of the year and, in the opinion of the Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, it represents a revolution in terms of fighting pollution and generating jobs in the fields.
